Reliawind General Assembly in Durham

 On 5 May 2010, ReliaWind consortium met in Durham, UK to have its fifth General Assembly meeting.

Deliverables and latest results of WP3 has been presented on the meeting:
3.0: Overall Integration Assurance
3.1: Mitigation of failures by control action
3.2: Agents for Failure Detection
3.3: Agents for Failure Location
3.4: Agents for Fault Prognosis
3.5: Generation of Maintenance Activities
3.6: Planning for Maintenance Activities
3.7: Support for Maintenance Decision Making
Due to the good results and findings in WP3, partners agreed to prolong WP3 activities. WP4 activities have already started in parallel.

Durham University, as the WP5 (Training) & WP6 (Dissemination,communication & exploitation) leader, also reported the main achievements of the first two years. Durham University has developed professional reliability training materials which summarise the experiences of wind turbine reliability studies carried out in ReliaWind. Nine training courses were completed for 142 professionals.

During the meeting, ReliaWind consortium has discussed to initiate an European wind turbine reliability standard,defining and codifying wind turbine taxonomy and data collection method. ReliaWind will seek for the collaboration with the IEC 61400 standards committee.
